Back in London

My hike was wonderful, but I cut it short. My knees were still aching from the descent of the Brevent, to the point I had to walk backwards down the hill yesterday to get to the center of Chamonix! I’m not worried, as they are already feeling better after 3 days off, but I just wasn’t determined enough to rest up and continue again.

I feel like those couples who get married, have a wonderful honeymoon, and get back and look at each other, stunned, and say, Well, Now What?

That’s me. And London. Now What?

And I’m really not sure. And very, very OK with that.

i remember two British girls i befriended at Rutgers. they were in for a semester on the banks. one, i recall fondly, was in it for a good time. we partied one night at a club in nyc dancing to hip hop and reggae. if all british girls are like her……you are in for a good time in london. carpe diem.

I am glad that you are “very, very OK” to be back in London and unsure of what’s next. And I am even more glad that you escaped the avalanche in Chamonix! “Eight climbers were missing and presumed dead Sunday after an avalanche swamped a commonly used hiking trail near Mont Blanc, western Europe’s highest peak.”
