I moved here. I was kinda-here before, but noncommittal, like a toddler eyeing a distant relative. I knew I liked this place when I got out of the tube last week, smelled the air, and thought, I like that smell. I’m highly attracted to specific locational smells (and the smell of band-aids). I like the smell of [...] God-knows what my neighbors thought had they looked out the window this afternoon. I was walking around the outside of my garage, peeing on it. And not just one place – I peed in half a dozen spots before my bladder was empty. Rats have invaded our garage, to eat the birdseed and grass seed, and [...] It’s a new word, meaning “In a state or manner similar to being employed, but not actually being employed”. I think it describes my prospects when I get back to the UK, as I have a company that has offered and planned for me to do work on an ad-hoc basis, billed hourly, with discussions of [...] |
